New Condos Downtown San Diego: Steps in Selling Series
Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 1:34PM Many real estate sites are targeted towards buyers. We have thought about it and want to also offer a series of articles for San Diego sellers. This is the weirdest selling market I have seen in my 33+ years as a real estate broker. Foreclosures and short sales abound. Buyers in San Diego, and more specifically Downtown San Diego, want to buy but if a lender is involved with a short sale, lenders are twiddling their thumbs. ( a personal observation, no reflection on lenders I know). There is something called the Peter Principle. The principle basically says people rise to their level of incompetence. A number of people in the short sale process are definite subscribers to the Peter Principle. If you have been involved in a short sale, you will know what I mean.
To the topic at hand:

If you are thinking about selling your property, odds are you will use a real estate agent, especially in this type marketplace. In a seller's market, you could hire a fire hydrant to sell your property and it would sell. However, in tough markets like this, a professional representative knows how to market, how to sell, and how to close. When the professionals face the daily challenges we see, imagine how much more difficult it can be for you without real estate experience. We are going to offer you a simple and easy to read series of ideas regarding selling.
Let us know your thoughts and if we can be of service. We sell in all types of markets. The market is the market.
This is a series of articles by Sharyn and Victoria Crown and will cover the sales process in today's marketplace thanks to research provided by David Knox.
