Best Downtown Restaurants - Old Spaghetti Factory
Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 9:00AM Another One Bites the Dust!
Dussini"s Mediterrean Restaurant is closing in downtown San Diego. Hooray! Not that the restaurant is not good...it is... Rather Dussini took the place of the Old Spaghetti Factory and that was a real downer. The owners of Dussini and OSF thought that downtown would support a more high-end restaurant. What they didn't realize is that the OSF attracted people who did not live in downtown. The food was always great and the prices were more than reasonable. Once the OSF closed and Dussini's opened, the market spoke. The OSF made more money than Dussini's and now the owners realize it is time to backtrack. So, Dussini's will close. The Old Spaghetti Factory will reopen in February, and those of us who loved eating dinner in the old streetcar will be happy as clams. Check out the full article in the San Diego Business Journal.
