Coronado Christmas Parade: Come and Join us in Coronado

Come join us for the 36th Annual Coronado Christmas Parade on Friday, December 2, 2011.  Coronado is a friendly community and residents are always involved in community activities.  One of the biggest and most enjoyable Coronado activities is the parade.  We have kids walking their dogs, bands playing their music, floats, antique cars and lots of other fun parade participants.  Should you decide to come to the parade, here is a synopsis of activities:

    • 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. is Snow Mountain at the Coronado Ferry Landing
    • 3:20 p.m. is when Santa arrives at the Coronado Ferry Landing
    • 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. is when Coronado merchants have their open house.  Some offer snacks and free items
    • 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. is the parade.  The Christmas Parade is unique because it proceeds down one side of the divided street, makes a u turn down by the Del Coronado Hotel and returns back down Orange Avenue on the other side of the street.
    • 7:00 p.m. the Rotary Plaza Christmas Tree is lit.
    • 7:15 p.m. the Coronado Community Band gives a concert at Rotary Plaza and the ?Mid-Life Crisis" Band plays at 9th and Orange Avenue.

The Hotel Del Coronado also has it's holiday festival activities including the outdoor "Skating by the Sea" on the rink overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

There is definitely something for everyone during our Coronado Christmas season and we hope you come over to the island to enjoy our Coronado lifestyle.  Stop by our Pacific Sothebys office at 1200 Orange Avenue to see our Santa and get a picture with Santa for your kids and grandkids.
