Photo courtesy of Nathan RupertLooking for something fun to do this coming Sunday evening, December 18th? How about the annual Parade of Lights in San Diego Harbor? This year's tour celebrates its 40th year of the parade. Isn't this photo, taken by Nathan Rupert, a great representation for the 40th year? This is a free event and you can view the boats from numerous locations in San Diego Harbor.
If you are having dinner at Anthonys or the Fish Market, you will have a front row seat from the Downtown San Diego side of the bay. Take a walk around Seaport Village. If you would rather watch from the Coronado side, you can enjoy a dinner at I fornaio or Candelas at The Landing.
The parade route is actually about 7 miles and there will be thousands and thousands of viewers. The parade begins about 5:30 p.m. at Shelter Island and will run until about 9 p.m.
