Downtown San Diego Condos: This is why it's San Diego!

Often times when we show property, prospective buyers will tell us they can purchase a comparable property for 1/2 or less the San Diego price.  I usually respond and say I am sure they are 100% correct about that.  Our prices in San Diego are higher than many other areas.  Although we think purchasing a Downtown San Diego condo is now a bargain, I am sure there are other less expensive locales. 

Today on my way to work I stopped here......

This explains it for me.  This location is 5 blocks from my Coronado office.  This is why Coronado and this is why San Diego.  It may not make economical sense, but sometimes economical sense gives way to emotional sense.

Downtown San Diego Condos: San Diego Winter

I have friends who live in other parts of the country.  When their weather is horrible, they like to tell me they love where they live because of the seasons.  Personally, I think they have a disorder.  There may be some people who would like to live in Washington D.C., but give me downtown San Diego any day of the week.

Try walking your dog in this Washington D.C. weather. Live in San Diego!This is why San Diego is such a desireable place to live.  It seems even though our market has declined, people still want to live here and as more people arrive, our prices will be stabilized and may even start to increase.  Purchasing a downtown San Diego condo may be one of the best moves you could make.

Would you purchase a second home in Washington D.C.?  I don't think so unless you are a polar bear.
