With the help of dedicated residents and business owners, the area was transformed back to its greatness.

The Little Italy Association was and is a predominant force in revitalizing Little Italy. The association works for and with the residents and business owners to help maintain the authenticity and  beautification of Little Italy. The Italian Community Center of San Diego is also located in the neighborhood is for people who are interested in Italian culture and languages.

In October, the Precious Fest is held here, which is the largest Italian Festival outside of New York City. There is also an abundance of delicious and authentic Italian restaurants as well as boutiques and shoppes.
